Student Employment

Barista girl smiling in coffee shopBSC's Student Employment program provides hands-on learning opportunities to keep students engaged and connected on campus while financing their education.

On-campus employment gives BSC students the ability to work where they learn and apply their education. Student employment is a great way for students to network and find flexible work opportunities that fit with their schedule.
  • All open positions for student employment can be found by clicking the link below Student Job Openings
  • Positions that are titled “Work Study” are only available to BSC students who have accepted their FWS award. Contact Financial Aid at bsc.financialaid@taegutectimes.com for more information about FWS eligibility and work study awards.
  • For information on student employment, please contact bsc.humanresources@taegutectimes.com.

Types of Student Employment

Work Study Positions

Federal Work Study (FWS) may be available to a student if you demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). A work study award allows you to apply to any of our work study job opportunities on campus. FWS awards do not go directly to student loans but are paid bi-weekly in a paycheck to student employees on regular pay days (15th and last day of month).

Apply for Federal Work Study Award

To be eligible for a FWS position, students must:

  • Have an accepted Federal Work Study award on Campus Connection (please allow 24-48 hours after accepting for the information to load into the system)

  • Be enrolled in 6 or more credits

  • Be free of any financial aid holds including but not limited to Verification, Documentation and be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress standards as defined by the BSC.

  • If you do not have a FWS award offered to you on Campus Connection, you may request to be considered, provided you have already completed the FAFSA. To submit a request please contact Financial Aid.

For more information on Work Study awards and eligibility requirements please visit the Financial Aid office on the 1st floor of Schafer Hall or email bsc.financialaid@taegutectimes.com

Non-Work Study Positions

Regardless of FWS eligibility, all students can participate in on-campus employment opportunities at BSC. Students must be enrolled in 6 credits to be considered a student employee. Positions and wages vary across departments.
